【Call For Paper】The 15th Cross-Strait Conference on Foreign Language Teaching & Learning 2018

The Cross-Strait Conference on Foreign Language Teaching & Learning was jointly launched by Beijing Foreign Studies University, Shanghai International Studies University, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, and Fu Jen Catholic University in 2004, with the shared purpose of fostering cross-strait dialogue on the research and practice of foreign language professional training. Now in its 15th year, the annual conference has yielded substantial results in the innovation and promotion of course/curriculum design, language pedagogy, and professional development strategies, thanks to the many efforts of the leaders and faculty members of our four institutions. The 2018 annual conference will be hosted by Fu Jen Catholic University on October 26 and 27 under the theme Developing Specialties, Mobility, and Enrichment in Foreign Language Education.

Background:

I. Foreign Language Education: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Translation/Interpretation, Mobility, Enrichment

Mobility: Interdisciplinary learning abilities and intercultural mobility

Enrichment: Cross-cultural enrichment and cross-industry augmentation

II. Educational, Research, and Management Perspectives of Foreign Language Universities/Colleges

6. Submissions should be in Mandarin Chinese, English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, or Italian.
7. Paper Presentations: 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for Q & A.
8. 1 Presidential Forum Address per institution and 10 Paper Presentations (pending internal view) each per institution, with the goal of equal numbers of papers in different languages.

1. Abstracts due Wednesday, May 11, 2018. All abstracts should be no longer than 500 words (including keywords). Email the author information form (which includes abstract) to 99912@mail.wzu.edu.tw attached in an email with subject heading “Abstract: 15th Cross-Strait Conference on Foreign Language Teaching & Learning.
2. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by Monday, May 28, 2018.
